In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are a team of special operatives charged with maintaining order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two embark on a mission to the astonishing city of Alpha–an ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence and cultures with each other. There is a mystery at the center of Alpha, a dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.
cera was pretty good
Rihanna was the only part of this movie i didnt like. Hire a real actress, plenty of black actresses that could have played the part better and probably for less. Other than that the movie is pretty good.
Hoping for a sequel
✌💜🔮🌌
I like when Cara said "How could I possibly" at 19:03 not sure why I just like it….yeah that is my favorite part out of the whole movie, don't get me wrong I liked all the parts. I also liked 17:51 when Cara did the hand thingy, and I also liked 12:35 – 16:18
this movie is great as always the white man is the savage killing anything and everyone that don't look or think as they do!!!!
I just paid 5.00 and no movie to watch !?
Terrible.
There's no reason this shouldn't be more popular. What the hell? Such a spiritual successor to the fifth element. Absolute fun.
Stop f**** up people's worlds or you'll pay in the end
It's a kids movie, from a dialogue perspective. It could have been better as a fully animated movie in my opinion.
Kinda cool. Not great.
Looks very good I hope it is in imax
the best sci fi movie I have ever seen. makes me wish this world was real. <3
The critics are weak minded people with little or no imagination. They obviously failed to recognize another Besson masterpiece.😇

They're Awoken from Destiny!
i really enjoyed this film and the storyline
Loved it!!
Ganstas paradise
I had a lot of fun with this pulpy comic book adventure. The only thing I didn't like was the main character, Valerian. He's got the attitude and presence of a teenager rather than an action hero.
Very enjoyable. Pure Besson. Well done.
Overall I enjoyed it but some things bugged me.
1. The whole side-plot with the ugly aliens kidnapping Laureline and Valerian teaming up with Rihanna to save her felt totally out of place, slowed down the pacing, and added an unnecessary 15-20 minutes to the film. It serves no purpose and just makes the film drag on.
2. At 41:39 they state the station has traveled "almost 700 Million Miles". But that is not very far… at all. That is about the distance from Earth to Jupiter when they are on the same side of the sun. Our space ships can get travel 700 Million Miles in 8 years IRL and we're expected to believe it that this fancy future megaship takes 400 years to travel that far? Only part way through our solar system? It would have taken them like 5 minutes to do a little research and come up with a more reasonable figure. That is some REALLY lazy script writing.
3. The whole romance subplot felt unnecessary, and if they were to keep it they could at least have made Valerian less of a prick for the first half of the movie so I wouldn't be thinking she could do so much better.
That said the opening was fantastic. A montage of human endeavors and peaceful relations in space set to David Bowie is what caught my attention to this film in the first place.
For such a gorgeous movie the acting was so epically bad. This movie would have been much better with two different lead characters.
5 $TAR$ Like If You Agree
Loved and very underrated
Wasn't great but I liked it.
Compared to the Last Jedi, this movie's amazing.
Awesome movie!!
Awesome!
Good movie, enjoyed it immensely.
